HAMPTON, Va. – Rudy Giuliani of New York, Ed Rendell of Philadelphia and William Donald Schaefer of Baltimore were lauded in the major media as “America’s mayors.”
Where was the same love for Cory Booker of Newark? The former Stanford tight end, Rhodes Scholar at Oxford and Yale Law school graduate charged into a burning building last month to rescue a neighbor. Booker suffered second-degree burns and ate a lot of smoke, but he said he never regretted his spontaneous act.
Maybe Brooklyn’s Captain America should flip Booker an extra retractable shield.
