The World's Eyes Focus On Haiti

The world's eyes are focus on the immense dispair of a nation.  The images of dead bodies laying unattended in the middle of streets or stacked in open lots is appalling, and an insult to humanity.
Someone must immediately take charge before the country is lost to death, corruption and pure, outright anarchy. That "someone" is and has to be the United States. That "someone" can't agree to leave in a month's time. That "somone" is faced with rebuilding a country that was struggling to survive before - and now must fight to exist.
So, while right wing pundits trash on Haiti's misfortune, the world watches.  While critics try to flush an entire country down the drain, the world watches. While people die in the streets, the world watches.
America and other world leaders along with their citizens must rise to the occasion and demonstrate that the right thing to do is to extend a helpful hand, restore order, provide basic food and services, and celebrate how it is now a global duty to make sure human disaster doesn't disintegrate into political games and punditry.
