The defiant, mean-spirited former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has won the South Carolina Republican primary. So, what's that mean to the GOP? to America? Three GOP primaries. Three different winners. Let me try to sum it up:

In the early morning hours, Mitt Romney could legitmately declare that he was the winner of the Iowa Caucus - by eight votes.

For Herman Cain, the past two weeks have been a nightmare.  He and his team have completely botched the handling of the sexual harrassment allegations made against him. 

GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain is trying to run away from a decades-old sex scandal. What he needs to do is learn from the lessons of so many presidential hopefuls and politicians who thought these kinds of issues would go away.  He can blame the media. He can blame his opponents. He can blame Democratic operatives. 

(Dallas) Texas Gov. Rick Perry has thrown his ten-gallon hat, cowboy boots and holster into the 2012 presidential campaign. Yee-ha! Another Texan running for the presidency of the United States - just what the nation ordered.  Somewhere in Austin there's a message that says it's OK for any governor from the great state of Texas to leapfrog from the "state house" to the White House. Just call it Texas bravado.
