Can Obama Win in 2012 if Unemployment Stays as is above 8 percent?

 The most recent budget and economic forecast from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects that unemployment will remain high for the foreseeable future.  The CBO estimates that unemployment will remain above 9.0 percent through 2011 and drop to 8.2 percent in 2012.  “CBO projects that the unemployment rate will gradually fall in the near term, to 9.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2011, 8.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012,

President Obama Set the Tone More than the Agenda

 Article 2, Section 3 of the Constitution states, “He (the President) shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; …”  President Obama gave the second State of the Union Address of his administration this past Tuesday.

The Hate that Hate Filled Dialogue Produces

 While conducting a town hall meeting in Tucson, Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) was shot in the head Saturday.  She struggles for her life in an Arizona hospital.  Giffords was among 13 people wounded in the melee that killed six, including Arizona's chief federal judge, a 9-year-old girl and an aide for the Democratic lawmaker.
